Day 1: Welcome to Uganda
We will kick start our Ugandan tour with a visit to the Entebbe Botanical gardens in search for Grey headed kingfisher, Great blue Turaco, Brown parrots, love birds, Open billed stork, Sacred ibis ,Glossy ibis, Saddle billed stork, Black kite ,African open-billed stork, Black stork, Dwarf bittern, Black-crowned night-heron, Double-toothed barbet, Grey-backed camaroptera, Swamp flycatcher, African blue-flycatcher, Scarlet-chested sunbird, Grosbeak weaver, Brown-throated Weaver and African paradise-flycatcher.

Day 2: Birding Mabamba & Murchison falls park.
After breakfast we head to Mabamba in search for a SHOEBILL STORK a rare bird here in Africa, Yellow-billed duck, Black shouldered kite, Palm-nut vulture, African fish eagle, Woolly-necked stork, Long crested eagle, Lesser jacana, Grey crowned crane, African fin foot, common waxbill, African Golden-breasted Bunting. We then proceed to Murchison falls north western Uganda.

Day 3: Morning Delta boat safari and afternoon game drive
After breakfast we go for delta boat safari in search of crocodiles and other wildlife along the Victoria Nile via top of falls hike and bird species like Rock pratincole, Spur –winged lapwing, Long-toed lapwing, Swallow –tailed bee-eater, Giant kingfisher, Rose-ringed parakeet, Red-headed lovebird, White-crested Turaco, Eastern Grey plantain-eater, Black-and-white cuckoo, Red-chested cuckoo, Yellow bill, verreauxs Eagle-owl, and standard-winged Nightjars.
After lunch we start afternoon game drive on the northern bank of the Victoria Nile in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, Jackson hartebeests, oribs giraffes, leopard, hippos Uganda kobs ,Waterbucks with unique species of birds like northern camine bee eaters, Red throated bee eaters, Dark chanting goshawk, lizard buzzard, African harrier hawk Eagle. Common kestrel, Denhams bustard, Western banded snake-Eagle, Lappet-faced vulture, Osprey, Eurasian marsh Harrier, Dark chanting-goshawk.

Day 4: Bird to Royal mile – Budongo forest.
We will bird several trails today but most important is the Royal mile for magnificent species. Look out for but not limited to the Puvel’s Illadopsis and Nahan’s Francolin other special birds include; the Yellow-billed Barbet, Grey-throated Barbet, Honeyguide Greenbul, Chocolate–backed Kingfisher, White-headed Saw-wing, White Wagtail, Black-eared Ground-Thrush among others.

Day 5: Bird to Kibale Forest National Park
For the early hours of the day, we bird on the way while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Uganda’s country, Tea and banana plantations on our way to Kibale Forest National Park which is the most accessible of Uganda's major rainforests.

Day 6 & 7: Green-breasted Pitta and Chimpanzee Tracking
Kibale forest has over 330 bird species that have been recorded, the park is the home for green breasted pitta as the most sought after species along with others. We will be birding in the forest, Bigodi wetland Sanctuary and Sebitoli for Unique forest species, papyrus endemics and some shore birds.
There is chimpanzee tracking on the next day in the morning.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This is the best place for forest birding in Uganda .The park has 23 of Uganda’s 24 Albertine Rift endemics including the globally threatened species such as the African Green Broadbill and Shelley’s Crimsonwing, plus others such as Oberlander's/Forest Ground Thrush, Sassi's Olive Greenbul, Dusky Crimson-wing, Strange Weaver, Rwenzori Double-collared Sunbird, Regal Sunbird, Purple -breasted Sunbird, Blue-headed Sunbird, Rwenzori Batis, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Short -tailed/Neumann's Warbler, Grauer's Warbler, Grauer's Rush Warbler, Collared Apalis, Montane Masked Apalis, Kivu Ground Thrush, Red-throated Alethe, Stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Nightjar, Rwenzori Turaco, Handsome Francolin etc.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (optional)
There are less than 800 mountain gorillas in the whole World. Uganda is home to more than a half of these beautiful, majestic gentle giants and yet endangered apes. Therefore, Gorilla tracking in Uganda is a must have experience not to be missed. Bwindi impenetrable forest habituates families of mountain gorillas along with other species of primates for example, Colubus monkeys, Olive baboons, a few to name it.
At Buhoma, we look out for species like, the Black Bee-Eater, Dusky Tit, Brown-caped Weaver, the Yellow-billed and yellow-spotted Barbets, the African and Black-and-white Shrike Flycatchers, Common Stonechat, Brown-throated and Chestnut Wattle-eyes, Apalises, Equatorial Akalat, Slaty Flyacatcher, White-bellied Robin-Chat, Black-throated Apalis, Mountain Masked Apalis, Grey Apalis, Chestnut-throated Apalis, the Olive-green and Grey-backed Camaropteras, White-chinned Prinnia, Green Hylia, Short-tailed Warbler, White-tailed Antithrush, Cape Wagtail, Grey-capped Warbler, Black-faced Rufous Warbler, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Grauer's Warbler, Grauer's Rush Warbler, White-browed Crombec, the list is long.White-eyed Slaty FlycatcherWhite-eyed Slaty Flycatcher is another target bird for this location.
There is also a community tour available (optional). You can experience the Batwa tribal way of life with participating in welcoming traditional dance, local traditional fire making, treating disease using local herbs and local beer production etc.

Day 10: Birding to Ruhija
Transfer from Buhoma-Bwindi to Ruhija-Bwindi. While on the way search for more birds such as Augur Buzzard, Fan –tailed widowbird, Black Bishop, Narrow-tailed starling, Western Black-headed oriole, White-crested Helmet-shrike, Dohertys Bush-shrike ,Northern puffback Western violet-backed sunbird, Regal sunbird, Blue-throated Roller, and Black Bee-eater etc .
Day 11: Birding in Mubwindi swamp
After breakfast birding starts in search for the Darling African Green Broadbill, Handsome Francolin, Strange Weaver, Shelley’s and Dusky Crimson-wings, Stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Batis, White-browed Crombec, White-aped Raven, Purple-breasted Sunbird, Sharp’s Starling, Mountain masked and Rwenzori Apalises and many more.

Day 12: Birding to Kampala/Entebbe
This is what we believe the end of a very successful 12 days forest Birding & Photography Safari. We shall bird on our way to Kampala/ Entebbe for your flight back home.
